Danae's Song is back under construction!

We are very excited to get the website re-vamped and put on some very important pages that we feel were an asset previously. We would like to have the calender put back up so that you may keep track of current event s and when Cheryl (Danae's Mom) will be speaking in your school.
Another new feature that we would like to add is a page for you to be able to put suggestions, requests or ideas that you may like to see on Danae's Song. Danae's Song was created by Cheryl (Danae's Mom) to honor her memory as well as to prevent even one life being lost by telling Danae's story. The presentation is for you, the teens. We want to be able to save any of you from making the wrong choice, as Danae did about drinking and driving. In Danae's case, her choice to get into a vehicle where the that driver was impaired (charged and convicted) cost her life;. In hopes that her daughters life was not lost in vain, Cheryl (Danae's Mom) has continuted to tell Danae's story and how Danae's death has effected her, her family. friends and loved ones. A Mothers point of view to teenagers is much different that usual statistic speeches and is a very strong presentation. The impact is a much stronger message in the presentation.
Ten Years. It was ten years since the death of Danae this year. There is still the void, the missing family member in everything that goes on in life. There is no sister to see the birth of her nephew just before Christmas. Would Danae be married now? Would she be close to having a baby now, or already have had one? There was no Danae to help with all the Christmas preparations. No Danae to get teased by Grandpa and fawned over by Grandma. A stocking that has no person to match up to Christmas morning. Danae's Mom with constant reminders that her third daughter is no longer with them and never will be again. Ten Years. It is not easier.

The Song being played is called Danae's Song. This was writtten by Cheryl's friend Jackie Marquis who wrote and recorded it 6 days after Danae passed away . Her Auntie Debbie sang harmony and her sisters, Jocelyn and Celene sang this song with her sister , Danae for the last time as the 'ooooo's' are Danae. They were taken off a karaoke tape that was found after Danae died singing "Genie in a Bottle' and they were digitally mixed into the song.
